Some poured from pitchers,
others from cracked cups —
but still, they gave what they had.

And from their giving,
we learned to flow.

Words of Light

“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”
— Proverbs 31:26 (ESV)

Reflection

There are women whose hands shaped us —
through words they spoke, meals they prepared, prayers they whispered,
or simply the way they kept showing up, day after day.

They may not have had perfect answers,
but they gave us the best of what they had —
and for many of us, that was love in its purest form.

Some of those women were mothers by birth.
Some by calling.
Some by spirit.

Their love became a wellspring —
a sacred flow that didn’t just comfort us,
but taught us how to keep love moving.

How to speak life.
How to nurture gently.
How to remain soft in a world that can harden the heart.
How to mother others.
How to mother ourselves.

And now, we honor them — not because they were perfect,
but because they poured.
And through their pouring,
we became who we are still becoming.

Pause and Consider...

  • Who are the women who poured into you — seen or unseen?
  • How can you honor their legacy in the way you show up today?

Affirmation

I am a living wellspring, shaped by the love of those who poured into me.

Peace,

Rita
