Week of December 16th: Finding Light in Each Other
Day 5 (Friday, December 20): Carrying the Light Forward
Words of Light:
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” – Matthew 5:14
Reflection:
As we move closer to Christmas, the season’s light grows brighter. It is a light of hope, peace, joy, and love—the light of Christ that shines within and through us. This light is not meant to be hidden but shared so that it may inspire and uplift those around us.
Carrying the light forward means embodying it in our words, actions, and presence. It means encouraging someone struggling, offering kindness to someone in need, and showing love even when it’s difficult. Every time we carry the light, we reflect the miracle of the season—the light that entered the world through Christ and continues to shine through us.
Today, reflect on how you can carry the light forward as we approach Christmas. Whether through a kind gesture, a heartfelt word, or simply being present, trust that your light makes a difference.
Journal Prompt:
• How can you carry the light of hope, love, and joy into the lives of others this season?
Affirmation:
“I carry the light of Christ within me, and I share it freely to bring hope and love to the world.”
