Licensed Therapy + Devotional Healing for Women on the Journey to Me™
Faith and Therapy: Why They Work Together, Not Against Each Other
You can believe in God and go to therapy. Healing is both spiritual and practical.
Somewhere along the way, many of us were told that prayer alone should be enough. That if we were strong in faith, we wouldn’t need therapy. That going to God meant we didn’t need to talk to a counselor. But here’s the truth: You can believe in God and go to therapy. You can hold scripture in one hand and a journal in the other. You can trust divine guidance while sitting in a space made for your healing.
✝️ What Faith Teaches Us About Healing
Faith reminds us that we’re not alone. That we are loved. That grace is real.
God can use many tools to bring healing—and therapy can be one of them.
🌿 Faith and Therapy Are Not in Conflict. They Are in Partnership.
You don’t have to choose one or the other. You can:
Pray and unpack old wounds
Meditate and learn new ways of thinking
Forgive and process your pain with a therapist
Sometimes, God leads us to the people who will walk beside us as we recover. That’s not a lack of faith—it’s a fulfillment of it.
💼 NewVision Therapy Honors Both
At NewVision Therapy, I welcome women of all backgrounds—but I especially hold space for those who want to honor their faith while tending to their mental health. You don’t have to explain why you believe. You can bring your whole self to therapy and be met with understanding, truth, and care.
🕊️ A Final Thought You’re not broken for needing help. You’re brave for saying yes to healing. Faith doesn’t cancel therapy—it gives you the courage to start.
