Weekly Theme: Steady Through the Storm

The winds may howl, the skies may darken,
but grace holds me fast beneath the waves.

Words of Light

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”
— Hebrews 6:19 (NIV)

Reflection

Storms reveal what anchors us. When life is smooth, it’s easy to speak of faith. But when the winds shift — when loss arrives, uncertainty lingers, relationships strain — we learn what truly steadies us. In those moments, the anchor of grace is not simply a poetic phrase. It is a lived experience.

Grace is the quiet presence that holds us when we cannot hold ourselves. It does not remove the storm, but it keeps us from capsizing beneath its force. It meets us in the waves of grief, the surges of fear, the undercurrents of doubt, and reminds us: you are still here. You are still held.

Being anchored in grace does not require perfect faith. It requires willingness — the choice to let yourself be steadied even when your knees are trembling. It is a surrender to the truth that God’s love and provision are stronger than any storm.

Today, as you face the swirling winds of life, pause and breathe. Speak this truth over yourself: I am anchored in grace. I will not be moved.

You are not alone in these waters. The Anchor holds.

Pause and consider:

  • What storms am I currently navigating in my life?
  • How can I lean more fully into the steadying grace of God today?

Affirmation

I am anchored in grace. I will not be moved.

Peace,

Rita
