A Shared Spark
Week of December 16th: Finding Light in Each Other
Day 1 (Monday, December 16): A Shared Spark
Words of Light:
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” – Matthew 18:20
Reflection:
The season of Advent reminds us of the beauty of waiting together. Just as the world waited for the birth of Christ, we often find ourselves waiting for light, hope, or answers in our own lives. But even in the waiting, we are not alone. We carry light within us that can be shared and grows brighter in that sharing.
When Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem, they leaned on one another through uncertainty and hardship. When the shepherds received the news of Christ’s birth, they went together to see the miracle. The light of Christ brings us together, reminding us that the spark we share with others can bring warmth, comfort, and hope.
Today, consider how you can share your light with someone else. A kind word, a listening ear, or a simple act of compassion can create a spark that brightens their day—and yours.
Peace, Rita
Journal Prompt:
• Who in your life has shared their light with you, and how can you pass that light forward?
Affirmation:
“I carry light within me and choose to share it with others, trusting that together, we create something brighter.”
