Some paths are easier to walk
when someone steadies your steps
without rushing your pace.

Words of Light

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

Reflection

There is a quiet courage in admitting that you need support. Many of us have been taught — subtly or explicitly — that strength means doing everything on our own. Advent gently disrupts that belief. It reminds us that God often works through relationship, not independence.

The Wise Men traveled together, guided by a shared purpose. Their journey was not only about arrival, but companionship along the way. In our own lives, support often arrives in ordinary forms: a friend who listens, a mentor who guides, someone who stays when answers are scarce.

Leaning on others does not diminish your strength — it reveals your humanity. It is an act of trust. And when we allow ourselves to receive support, we also learn how to offer it with greater compassion.

This season invites us to release the belief that we must carry everything alone. To recognize that shared burdens grow lighter. That light strengthens when it is passed back and forth.

You are not weak for needing support. You are wise for accepting it.

Peace,

Rita
