The rain didn’t break you—it blessed you. 🌸
Wednesday, April 9, 2025 — When the Rain Is a Blessing
Week’s Theme (April 7-11, 2025): The Bloom from Brokenness
I thought the tears would drown me,
but they watered the soil instead.
And in that wet, sacred ground,
something tender dared to grow.
Words of Light
“He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the earth.”
—Hosea 6:3 (CSB)
Reflection
Rain has a reputation.
We think of it as inconvenient.
As a delay. A disruption. A storm.
But in the garden of your becoming, rain is essential.
The same can be said for your tears.
The pain that left you undone.
The grief you carried in secret.
The sorrow that visited night after night.
You thought it would destroy you.
But it watered you.
In the sacred mystery of healing, God turns pain into nourishment.
Not because it didn’t hurt—but because you didn’t let it harden you.
You wept. You prayed. You opened. You stayed.
And slowly, life started to grow again.
Some of the most beautiful things in you came from the seasons that nearly took you out.
And though you may not thank the storm, you’ll honor the strength that came through it.
The rain did not break you. It blessed you.
It softened the ground for your bloom.
What tears have you cried that changed you?
What blessings—inner or outer—have grown from those rainy seasons?
Affirmation
My tears were not wasted.
What came to drown me helped me bloom.
I receive the blessing in the rain.
Peace,
Rita
