God is never still.
Even when life feels stuck, He is moving beneath the surface.
What looks like an ending can become the soil of a beginning.
What feels like loss may already be carrying new life.
What seems barren can still bloom.
Words of Light
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
— Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)
Reflection
We often cling to the old because it feels familiar—even when it no longer fits.
Old patterns. Old expectations. Old versions of ourselves that once helped us survive.
Yet through Isaiah, God whispers something radical:
“See, I am doing a new thing.”
His call is not only to believe, but to perceive—to open our eyes to what He has already begun.
New things rarely arrive fully formed.
They emerge quietly, like a sprout pushing through the soil.
They often begin in wilderness places, where nothing seems possible and hope feels thin.
But God specializes in the impossible.
He makes rivers in deserts.
Paths through the wild.
Life where none was expected.
Your waiting has not been wasted.
Your tears have not been ignored.
Your letting go is not loss—it is preparation.
This quiet work of release is part of learning the sacred practice of letting go.
God does not rush renewal, but He is always faithful to bring it.
Sometimes the new thing God is bringing forth is not external at all.
It is internal.
A softened heart.
A restored sense of trust.
A quiet courage you didn’t realize was growing.
Watch closely.
The fresh thing He is doing may already be rising before you.
Pause and Consider
- Where in my life is God asking me to notice the new He is creating?
- What old thing do I need to release so I can truly perceive what is emerging?
- How does Isaiah 43 reshape the way I view waiting, loss, or transition?
Affirmation
God is doing a new thing in me.
I perceive it.
I welcome it.
I make room for it to grow.
New life is rising within me.
Peace,
Rita
