There are days when you forget who you are—
when the weight of what you’ve carried
leans heavier than the truth you once held.

Days when grief dulls your shine,
when rejection whispers louder than remembrance,
when uncertainty makes you question
what once felt certain.

And in those moments,
it can feel like something has slipped—
like the crown you once wore with ease
no longer belongs where it rests.

But truth does not change
because a season feels different.

And what was placed upon you
has not been removed.

Words of Light

“You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people…”

Reflection

There are seasons when your identity feels less clear—not because it has changed, but because what surrounds you has shifted.

Loss, disappointment, transition—these experiences have a way of clouding what you know to be true. They invite doubt to sit where certainty once lived. They ask questions you weren’t prepared to answer.

Am I still who I thought I was?
Does what I carry still matter?
Do I still belong in the life I envisioned?

And quietly, without announcement, your posture changes.

Your confidence softens.
Your voice quiets.
Your sense of self becomes something you begin to search for again.

But identity is not something that disappears.

It is something that can feel distant—
something that can become obscured—
but never something that is taken.

The crown still fits.

Not because everything is perfect.
Not because the path has been smooth.
Not because you have done everything right.

But because it was never based on those things to begin with.

What has been placed within you—your capacity, your calling, your way of seeing and responding to the world—has not been revoked because the season changed.

It may feel different now.

Heavier in some ways.
More sacred in others.

What once felt like confidence may now feel like quiet strength. What once looked like visibility may now be taking shape in unseen ways. What once felt effortless may now require intention.

But this is not loss.

This is refinement.

You are not being asked to prove your worth.

You are being invited to remember it.

Even if no one acknowledges it.
Even if the environment around you does not reflect it.
Even if you are still finding your footing in this moment.

The crown still fits.

Not as a symbol of perfection—
but as a reflection of perseverance.

Of what you have endured.
Of what you have learned.
Of what continues to live within you, even now.

So wear it—not loudly, not for display,
but with a quiet knowing.

You have not lost who you are.

You are simply seeing yourself more clearly.

Pause and Consider...

  • Where have I begun to question my worth based on what I’ve experienced?
  • What parts of myself remain true, even in this season of change?
  • How can I honor who I am becoming, even if it feels different from before?

Affirmation

I am chosen.
I am whole.
My identity is not diminished by this season.
What was placed within me remains.

Even when it feels unfamiliar,
even when it feels quiet,
even when it feels uncertain—

what belongs to you
has not been taken.

Peace,
