There are places you never would have chosen—
quiet, stretched-out spaces
where the familiar has fallen away
and the future has not yet taken shape.
A place where answers feel distant,
and movement feels slow.
A place that feels… like loss.
But not every wilderness is absence.
Some are invitation.
Some are sacred ground
where something within you is being formed—
without distraction,
without performance,
without the need to be seen.
And even here—
especially here—
you are not without purpose.
Words of Light
“After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace… will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
— 1 Peter 5:10
Reflection
Wilderness seasons can feel disorienting.
What once felt stable may no longer hold. What once brought clarity may now feel uncertain. The rhythm you were used to has shifted, and you find yourself navigating unfamiliar terrain—without a clear map forward.
It can feel like you’ve been set aside.
Like something has been taken.
Like you’ve been removed from where life was moving.
But what if this is not removal—
but preparation?
There are parts of you that cannot be developed in comfort. There are layers of identity, trust, and strength that are only revealed when everything external is quiet enough for you to hear what remains within.
In the wilderness, you begin to notice what is still standing when everything else has fallen away.
Your faith.
Your resilience.
Your capacity to endure, even when you would rather rest.
This is not punishment.
This is refinement.
Scripture reminds us that restoration is not distant—it is part of the process. Strength is not something you must force—it is something being formed. Establishment is not something you have missed—it is something unfolding.
Many queens are not crowned in celebration.
They are formed in solitude.
Strengthened in stillness.
Refined in seasons that no one else fully sees.
Before the throne comes the shaping.
Before the rising comes the grounding.
And what is being built in you now—quietly, steadily—will not be fragile. It will not be easily shaken. It will carry the weight of what it took to become.
So if you find yourself in a place that feels hidden, dry, or uncertain…
Pause.
You are not behind.
You are not forgotten.
You are not outside of purpose.
You are in a sacred space where clarity is being restored, trust is being rebuilt, and identity is being strengthened in ways that will sustain you long after this season has passed.
Even here, your throne is being shaped.
Pause and Consider...
- What is being revealed in me during this season that I may not have noticed before?
- Where am I being invited to trust more deeply, even without clear answers?
- How might this season be preparing me rather than setting me back?
Affirmation
My wilderness is not a waste.
I am being restored, strengthened, and established.
What is being formed in me now will carry me forward with strength and purpose.
Peace,
Rita
