Weekly Theme — Embracing Love’s Power
Sometimes the weight we carry
is the love that refuses
to let go.
Words of Light
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
Reflection
Loving is beautiful—but it can also feel heavy.
The labor of loving others, showing up, holding space, keeping the peace—it takes a toll, especially when you feel like you’re holding it alone.
There’s no shame in admitting that love can exhaust you.
Even Jesus offers an invitation for the weary—those carrying invisible loads, stretched thin by emotional labor and compassion fatigue.
You don’t have to hold it all by yourself.
Today, let love hold you. Let God carry what you can’t.
• Where in your life does love feel heavy?
• What would it look like to let God hold that weight with you?
Affirmation
I am allowed to lay down what’s too heavy to hold alone.
Peace,
Rita
