There is a hush before the bloom,
A pause between what was and what will be.
In this space — we listen. We yield. We begin again.
Words of Light
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
— Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)
Reflection
The seasons shift without asking our permission.
One day the air feels different.
The rhythm changes.
Something subtle begins stirring beneath the surface of life, inviting us into a new pace, a new awareness, a new becoming.
And often, the deepest shifts are not happening around us — but within us. And as the winds begin to shift, we are invited not to panic — but to prepare our hearts for what is becoming.
Becoming again begins in these in-between spaces.
Times of release and renewal, endings and not-yet-formed beginnings.
Sometimes the change is external — a move, a job ending, children growing, relationships shifting.
Sometimes it is internal — an identity long worn growing threadbare, a longing awakening, a quiet readiness for something new.
It is tempting to rush past these moments, to fill the space with distraction or force ourselves to have immediate clarity.
Yet God often does His deepest work in the pause.
In the holy hush between what was and what is becoming.
If you find yourself in a season of shift, trust that this too is part of the journey.
You are not behind.
You are not lost.
The Spirit is at work — clearing the old, preparing the soil, making a way where you cannot yet fully see one.
And perhaps that is the invitation of shifting seasons:
To notice what no longer fits.
To release what no longer serves your becoming.
To trust yourself enough to remain open to what is emerging.
Even when you cannot see the full picture, trust that new life is already stirring beneath the surface.
Becoming again begins right here.
Pause and Consider...
- What transitions — large or small — are present in my life this season?
- Where do I sense an invitation to let go?
- What new beginning feels as though it may be quietly emerging within me?
Affirmation
I welcome the shifts of life and trust the Spirit’s work within me.
I release what no longer serves me and embrace what is becoming.
Peace,
Rita
